After one of the respiratory illnesses, I CRAVED cooked celery....never had made it before...but we had a large bunch every night....I make it with canned chicken broth, some basil or rosemary, the celery, and after it is braised but still crunchy in the middle, add cornstarch and water for thickener..just a bit, not lots... I still like it even now, but not every day like I did....

Don't know what my system was missing then, but it sure was. The other two things I couldn't get enough of were clam chowder, and tomato juice. We had gone to Carmel for 10 days after that bout, and that's all I wanted to eat the whole trip.....<ggg>
