VMS VENTURES INC. COMMENCES VTEM AIRBORNE SURVEY OVER COPPER-ZINC PROPERTIES SNOW LAKE VMS BELT, MANITOBA

Vancouver, B.C. March 20, 2007. VMS Ventures Inc. (TSX.V: VMS) (the "Company") is pleased to announce that the VTEM (Versatile Time-Domain Electromagnetic) geophysical survey announced January 24th 2007 has commenced. Geotech Ltd. of Aurora Ontario, the survey provider, has informed the Company that approximately 42% or 734 line kilometers of a total of 1757 line kilometers of survey data has been collected since beginning the program on March 16, 2007. The survey is proceeding well, but is weather dependent.

The VTEM (Versatile Time-Domain Electromagnetic) survey is the leading airborne geophysical system in use today and is particularly suited to the identification of copper-zinc massive sulphide deposits, which the Flin Flon – Snow Lake VMS (volcanogenic massive sulphide) belt is prolific in hosting. The VTEM survey provides high definition, deep penetrating magnetic and electro-magnetic measurements of the underlying rock which are able to detect buried massive sulphide mineral deposits. VTEM identifies anomalies deeper and with greater resolution than the previous generation of airborne surveys. This technology will also enable a more effective means to explore the southern portion of the Company’s Snow Lake property package where Paleozoic aged limestone sediments cover the prospective greenstone belts.

Survey Interpretation

The Company has contracted Mr. Bob Lo, M.Sc., P.Eng., geophysical consultant to oversee the Snow Lake survey and its results. VMS Ventures Inc President John Roozendaal states, “The work performed by Bob Lo will include monitoring and quality control of data acquisition of the VTEM survey, preliminary interpretation of VTEM data in the form of anomaly priorities, and interpretation of the final deliverables by defining high priority geophysical targets based on sound geophysical and geological knowledge.” Mr. Lo has interpreted more than 70,000 line kilometers of airborne electromagnetic method data over the past 3 years and has held senior positions with INCO Ltd. - Exploration Department, MPH Consulting and Aerodat Inc.

Snow Lake VMS Property Package

Over the past 2 years, the Company has acquired 12 distinct, strategic land packages in the Snow Lake-Flin Flon VMS belt.. Each has been selected based on the existence of either known VMS style mineralization in drill core or at surface, the identification of VMS associated alteration in host rocks, and/or the presence of stratigraphy that hosts a VMS deposit on neighboring claims.

The areas being flown in the first phase include the Company’s Sails Lake claims, Reed Lake claims and the Copper property. These are the most advanced exploration targets with historical and Company data that includes ground geochemistry and geophysical and geological information. Vice President of Exploration, Dr. George Gale states “The properties we plan to fly in this first phase have had up to 2 years of company exploration to compliment the data we have accumulated from historical programs. What we are exited about is that the VTEM information is delivered in real time and can be interpreted within days, allowing us to prioritize drill targets quickly and test them this spring. Targets consisting of both geochemical metal anomalies and strong geophysical signatures will be tested first.”

All technical information in this release has been reviewed by Dr. George Gale, P.Eng, Vice President of Exploration, VMS Ventures Inc.

VMS Ventures Inc is focused primarily on acquiring, exploring and developing copper-zinc properties in the Flin Flon-Snow Lake VMS Belt of Manitoba. The Company also holds the largest package of land considered prospective for nickel-copper mineralization at Lynn Lake, which is Canada’s third largest nickel producing camp historically. The Company’s project portfolio consists of the Snow Lake VMS project, the Lynn Lake Gabbros project, the South Bay nickel-copper-cobalt PGE property, and the Eden Lake Carbonatite Complex, Specialty Metals property. All properties are located in the mining friendly province of Manitoba, Canada .
