<Do you know if anybody is selling yet the ATI tuner with CableCard? >

The Dell unit is the only one that I have seen so far. Were they to be available to the general public? I thought I read somewhere that they were only available with systems. I try to stay away from DRM ;).

Edit: it looks like that may be the case...

ati.amd.com

"Shipping with new Windows Vista™ PCs
The ATI TV Wonder™ Digital Cable Tuner is scheduled for release Q1 2007 shipping with new Digital Cable Ready PCs running Windows Vista™. Hardware requirements include HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection) support on digital displays, providing a robust and premium HD viewing experience."

<Refusing to go on a DRM rant>

Edit 2:

dailytech.com

"Microsoft has already made it abundantly clear that CableCARD support is only for OEMs and system builders -- do not expect AMD OCUR cards to show up on eBay in the near future. Even with the hardware, systems require BIOS-level support and authentication; CableCARD PCs constantly ping CableLabs for authentication."

<Now I'm feeling a rant coming on... big brother is watching everyone now... utter BS this is>
