Intel shares hurt by rumors of weak Q3 NEW YORK, Oct 1 (Reuter) - Shares of Intel Corp were hurt in late trading as unconfirmed rumors swirled around Wall Street that the semiconductor company might forecast weak third quarter earnings. But a spokeswoman for Intel said the company is not planning to comment on its earnings before the regularly scheduled release of its results on October 14. Shares were off 1-3/16 to 91-1/8 in heavy trading late on Wednesday. ``That's the scuttlebutt, although I don't have any confirmation, that they are going to preannounce this afternoon, and it's taking the shares off a peg,'' one trader said.
