Then I hear of pediatricians in SF receiving $5/patient/month capitation regardless of how often they see said patient. Not only pediatricians, but the primary care provider - the guy you have to get a rec from to see a specialist...and now you know why they drag their feet and try to prescribe outside their field of expertise...because it will cost them if they send a patient to see a specialist. Healthcare! What a misnomer. Yes, and you're correct, doctors routinely kill patients due to medical error.
