Analysts at Deutsche Securities maintain their "buy" rating on MEMC Electronic Materials (WFR.NYS). The target price has been raised from $55 to $65.

In a research note published yesterday, the analysts mention that ASP strength for wafers in the semiconductor and solar PV industries is likely to persist through the next few quarters. The polyscilicone spot market is expected to remain healthy through 2008, the analysts say. MEMC Electronic Materials’ cost reduction efforts are expected to support margins, Deutsche Securities adds.
