I remember an article that said it was company POLICY to deny claims 7 times. There didn't have to be a reason but their people had to continue to deny claims at least that many times before they even considered paying.

After all, what do insurance companies have to lose with this system? They hike up premiums on frightened customers in a market shrouded in secrecy. They then refuse to pay as many claims as possible.

Voila! Huge profits.

It's theft and utter corruption.
