Thanks LC. It is perhaps only of academic interest, but as I understand it the use of biomass (wood-waste etc.) to fuel "green power" producers, is making use of a present carbon producer (decaying vegetation) as opposed to mining coal or oil which are divorced from the current carbon cycle. I agree it would be foolish to use oil or coal for the purpose. BWDIK.
