it's not the link between socialism and environmentalism,it's the very SPECIFIC language I am querying - surely you realize that,

Here is the SPECIFIC language again, see if you can spot why the general Wiki article does not suffice...

" socialists made homeless by the fall of the Berlin wall"

It makes sense that socialists, who are concerned with the community we all share, would be green, What doesn't make sense is what that has to do with the fall of the Berlin wall and global warming regulation- which is, you may or may not remember, what you said. That's what I'd like a link to- but perhaps the absence of any such on point article means you couldn't find one. You certainly had time to look and find other things- off the point red herring sorts of things.

No doubt you think Klaus is on point- unfortunately he is saying basically what you say, with as little proof as you have. Environmentalists have been around for a long time- remember the '60's? It didn't take the fall of the Berlin wall, or anything else associated with the fall of communism, to start environmentalism- it was already a going concern. If you have any actual proof of a connection between the homeless socialists and the fall of the Berlin wall and global warming regulation, please post it- if you just find someone saying what you say, without any actual evidence, well...that's not worth much.

"Communism was replaced by the threat of ambitious environmentalism. "

So this happened in Russia? Not likely. Where HAS this amazing threatening environmentalism happened? Where are the gulags Nadine? Where are the environmentalist KGB agents? This is silly rhetoric that denigrates the true terrible history of communism as it was practiced. It's like minimizing the holocaust by comparing environmentalism to that. Communism was a holocaust to some people, Nadine- let's not denigrate and minimize the suffering inflicted by communism with silliness.

I think communism was replaced by the rampant fascism of Starbucks and Mc Donalds- and I have absolutely nothing to back that up, but there's a guy down the street I can quote ...
