Hey Guys and Gals ! My first time posting (unless I splooged somewhere else) woohoo !
I have been lurking since well before the most recent tech and telco market crashes. Having been in the technology arena for some time I always wanted to subscribe to SI. But my tech stocks and options were under water so I didnt want to even face the music. Recently I found I could get it free. MMMMMM, free beer !!! Labatts ? Brador ? No dammit, Fin du Monde !!!! Clonk.
With sometimes tempered enthusiasm for making money on the market I have many times deferred to the logic,wisdom, knowledge and character of some notable posters; Haim, TJ, Mish (these are the ones who come immediately to mind), et al.
I'm also endeared to many of the canuck contingent, of which I am a multi-decade expat. I can always tell, cause ya say 'eh' or 'ya hoser' at the end of your sentences :)
That, and yer totally absorbed in commodities. God bless you, Canada needed the lift since the CAN$ was in the $hitter (when I departed), as that (always whining and money pissing) eastern province had sucked so much from us.
ANyway, just wanted note the comments responding to the Long Island Newsday article brought to our attention by westpacific.
Alot of those folks are pretty peeved at the notion of tax payers footing the bill for this latest subprime mortgage debacle. I'm sure as hell aint gonna stick around to pay for it. My property tax is already 10 grand and I have to send my little girl to private school, I still have to press 1 for english.
And so, I am a rambling idiot. Admittedly. But I'll cut to the chase.
There was a great link in these posts, certain many of you knowledgeable folk are aware of it. But I thought it was pertinent and worth restating.
