I'm organizing some improvements at the local dog run. I needed to raise ~$500 to get everything done. In one day I was able to raise $350 with minimal effort. Some people don't like the idea of having to spend money on a park, the taxes around here average $8,500. I see their point but even still just about everyone chips in. I got a good sales pitch "It's only $20 and you'll get a warm glow every time you drive up and see the improved run and $20 is cheap for a warm glow".

Last year me and a few others wheelbarrowed 15 yards of sand to level the run since then one side settled more than the other but this time instead of shoveling 300 lg wheelbarrows of sand we're renting a bobcat. We're closing the main run while we work and locking our dogs in the puppy run. Dogs we know we'll let in but no newbies, we won't have time to babysit. If everything goes smooth I'll have a chance to play with the bobcat but if we're pressed for time I'll leave it to others with experience.
