Karen, In 1999 my wife and I, both with poor health abandoned our one car lifestyle of 35 years (in favor of none); moved to a community where owning a car is a disadvantage with beach, shopping for basics and a great choice of international restaurants and people to meet al within walking distance via a pedestrian only environment. We (have to) walk everywhere for every thing we need. Our health has improved measurably and I (in my 70th year on this earth) am able once again to work in my profession with enthusiasm! And we gain potential carbon credits to boot. What more could one ask for out of life! We recommend it with our whole heart(s)!
