Presidential polling roundup
GOP VIXEN
By Bridget

Giuliani Here's the latest:

* Time poll, March 9-12, Giuliani 40 percent, McCain 20 percent, Gingrich 10 percent, Romney 7 percent
* CNN poll, March 9-11, Giuliani 34 percent, McCain 18 percent, Gingrich 9 percent, Romney 9 percent
* Associated Press-Ipsos poll, March 5-7, Giuliani 35 percent, McCain 22 percent, Gingrich 11 percent, Romney 8 percent

It's obvious that many media outlets are playing up everything possibly bad about Giuliani (and he deflects the blows very well), because he is the greatest threat to Hillary and Obama. Meanwhile, they're trying to play up the not-quite-announced Chuck Hagel as some big threat to the other GOP hopefuls when he's only drawing about 2 percent interest in the aforementioned polls.

I believe that America has been going more moderate (hello, broad support for Arnold Schwarzenegger) and are not so much changing their views but prioritizing what they want to see in a candidate differently. But can the GOP even present someone who is more conservative yet still has enough mass appeal to beat any Democratic challenger (and who has the balls to fight the war on terror)? We're at such a crucial juncture in terms of global security that a nomination misstep could prove disastrous.
