Mrs. Edwards seems like a marvelous woman, and a strong and supportive partner to her husband. I hope they can enjoy this year, and a few more, before she dies. Since they have lived through the death of a child I suppose they can live through anything- I can't imagine anything more devastating than that. I truly think the death of your child is the worst thing that can happen to you- worse than your own death, for most parents, I think, because it so upsets the natural order of things.
