Perhaps, but the entire WH staff was involved in the "debunking", Including Cheney, Libby, Rove and others. That's a pretty high level "debunking".

Too bad the administration didn't stick to the facts. But they couldn't because there were no facts pointing to Saddam's trying to get yellow cake.

Then...even if Saddam did look for yellow cake, he still would have needed to refine it. Nobody in Intelligence believed that he had the capability to do that.

Remember the hubub about yellow cake and aluminum tubes used for centrifuges? All crap it turns out. Saddam could not have reconstituted nuclear weapons as Cheney lied about. It's a lie to begin with because Saddam never had any nuclear weapons, so they never could be reconstituted.
