Coug, I thought the Edwards family was really beautiful today. I don't get impressed by much in terms of short term stuff- it's the arc of a life that is usually impressive- but I find the Edwards' family reaction to adversity to be impressive and exemplary. May they have a wonderful time with the time they have left together. May they feel they've really accomplished something. I can't say I much admire people who lie down and die, or who stop doing what they can, because they've gotten a sentence of death- after all we all have that sentence, it's just most of us don't know the date. Do we not want presidents to be men who forge ahead with will and gusto in the face of adversity? I'd say Mr. Edwards is a man who can do that, and even better, he seems to have a strong family who can do the same. There are people who will criticize anything- let's concentrate instead on the positives- and the marvelous example this man and his family give us all in how to live until you die, and not giving up on life and dreams before time. I'm sure the Edwards family won't be looking at the negative press, at least I hope they won't- they don't seem the type to dwell on the negatives. Let us follow their example.
