No. He has a duty to his family that overrides "wants".

Seriously, if his wife says she wants him to continue, she is saying that in order to put him first over her and her childrens needs. She shouldn't have to do that.

And the children are too young to "want" anything - before someone says what if the children want him to go on.

I hope this decision (to go on with the campaign) is based on denial and will be reconsidered.
