That was pretty neat....I always like astronomy. I was building Estes rockets by about age 7. I can remember building a launch device using a doorbell button to launch them. For a 7-8 year old I was pretty inventive. My dad really couldn't believe I wired up everything and it worked. I've bought several rockets for the kids around here and they love going to the park and launching them. When they get older I'll show them the crash and burn rocket - boy was my dad pissed when I pulled that. I soaked the body tube in gas and stuck 2 m-80s in the rocket. Its totally safe until the rocket gets about 1000 feet in the air and ignites a gun powder cap the usually blows the nose cone off so a parachute can open. The crash and burn method I used created an explosion that sounded like the city was under in air raid. About a 10 foot fireball took place at 1000 feet and it started raining parts LOL. I always knew what I was doing so I knew we were safe but it caught dad off guard LOL.
