Good luck changing over 70 years of propaganda and disinformation. Too many politicians quickly hide behind the "party line" when forced to deal with a taboo subject like medical marijuana. The drug war is very big business these days and most politicians are busy protecting the status quo. They see any other response as being "weak" on crime, end of story. Few seem to have a heart for those who could benefit from their doctor's advice. My advice is to keep on trying and don't get discouraged when you get responses like this. These people see any attempt to use marijuana as misguided, regardless of the potential benefits to those unfortunate few who deserve the right to choose a potentially life improving DOCTOR RECOMMENDED treatment. The medical community is moving beyond the taboo, at least outside of the USA. IMO, the USA will eventually catch up to the rest of the world and we will have to look back at those few who suffered or went to jail in an attempt to improve the quality of their life by using an "illegal" substance.
