Just spoke with a broker at First Albany. According to him, a couple of misconceptions need clearing up: 1. All IPO's are hot - NOT! 2. Contrary to popular belief, underwriters don't like IPO flippers (reflects negatively on their ability to put stock in strong hands.) 3. Diversity of placement is desirable, ergo... 4. First Albany would have been more than happy to provide individual small investors with COGIF at IPO price, around 100 share minimum, as long as the investors indicate they are not flippers.
