For men, getting the prostate checked, including the PSA blood test, is also very important. I recently was diagnosed with Stage I prostate cancer following a biopsy that was triggered by a PSA level of 5.3. I had an MRI bone scan and CT scans of my innards, and they showed no sign of cancer elsewhere. I'll soon begin radiation treatments, and the doctors expect I'll be cured and live a normal lifespan, thanks to the early detection.
