While I see the same economic fault lines that you and others see, barring some trend altering dramatic event, the short term broad market direction continues to be up. The meltdown of 2/27 has had no follow through despite the sub prime ballyhoo and now the Fed stance seems to rule out higher rates. A "soft landing" psychology predominates and the timing of a major downward reversal is probably postponed.Having said that, I believe that soon China will forcefully act to restrain unwise lending and industrial capacity and this will have a major ripple effect worldwide,but until then the light remains green.
