let's go back to why we went into iraq. that was when the vote was taken. bush made the presentation at the u.n. everyone was into taking out Saddam. it wasn't follow the leader (it was the popular thing to do because of 911 otherwise democrats would have voted against it) it was brought on by saddam over the years violating and threatening. then saddam was buying off most of the leaders in the various nations. He really thought bush wouldn't attack because France and some other country.. russia told him it would never happen. i expect if saddam had it do over again he may have welcomed avoiding a war.

how iraq turned out is another subject.
