Cubist got a big write-up by a stock newsletter over the weekend (The Oxford Club newsletter). They say sales for Cubicin are running at twice the amount as this time last year. They have a big jump on other drug companies in the treatment of MRSAs (hospital infections that don't respond to traditional antibiotics). According to the newsletter, if you are hospitalized in an Intensive Care Unit, there is a 60% chance that you will acquire a MRSA.
