>>>Things could get interesting this summer.<<<

Bravo Dennis - I hadn't looked at those in a while. Your point about generation is very well taken.

But lets look at industrial. It is only up about 3.5 BCF Jan '06-Jan '07. Remember that we were still feeling KatRita effects in Jan '06.

Now what you didn't mention was ethanol. If I read the Y axis correctly, NG use for ethanol has doubled since '04 and just stuck its head above 1BCF/day.

Electric, industrial, ethanol...it all adds up. I know. I know - there is a fleet of LNG tankers stuck in the Straits of Magellan just waiting to flood the market when the prices firm a bit.

I still think that ethanol is one of the best shorting opportunities of all time just around the bend. It will get squeezed between NG for heat/fertilizer, higher corn, and a populace slowly coming around to all of the knock-on effects.

Oh. Speaking of fertilizer, NG for same is only up about 50% from last year at about 2.1 BCF/day. Holy corn tortillas Batman!!!!

Actually, the current real estate and subprime bank bust is going a long way to repair the damage done in '02.
