We are in some agreement here. Sadr is known best in Iraq for his unique strategy of acquiring power 'quietly'. I said in 2003 that he would lay low and let the government achieve security, then he will destroy it from within and assume power. Everyone on the Foreign Affairs thread mocked me then. We were really ignorant of this in the past and I doubt we have figured it all out yet. I don't trust him and I think we are in for something far worse than Al-Quaeda when he takes the reigns. He will eventually have control over the wealth of the world, and be backed by super power militaries that will rival our own, and he has made no secret of the fact that he considers us a primary target. IMO
