I think I already answered that question.

26 years is doable, but still raises a significant barrier to entry. And that's not even counting maintenance and upkeep, which is significant when you're talking large-scale like metropolitan power plants. That alone could push out the break even point by another decade.

Of course, the bet is forward-looking. You're betting that 10 years down the road, fossil fuels will become so expensive (either because of lack of supply or because of liberal taxes by some global-warming zealot) that the break-even point gets pulled in.
