Hi Brian.... How about some input about Muslims in the USA.

A lot of Imam's around the globe make some outrageous threat about the USA and Christianity, and the press picks up these statements and treats it (the statements) like they came straight from Mohammed. Then these Imans bask in the medias attention and start to believe they are divine. Just like some of out American politicians.

I think we ought to take some of these kooky Imams bring them to this country and lock them in a room with Pat Robertson and some of the kooky Christian far right. They could throw quotations at each other until they went for their knives.

From what I have read about the large Muslim community in Detroit and Chicago is that they want no part of radical Islam. And if any of the congregation are thus inclined they are quickly shown the door.

I have also read that Algeria is home to very scholarly, conservative, moderate and peaceful Islamic scholars that are trying to regain the Muslim higher ground in reconciling the Muslim faith with 21st Century western values.

I personally believe that the poverty that is endemic in Muslim countries, has made those Muslims easy prey for radicals with money and an anti-American agenda.

Interesting thread you have here. I'll stay in touch...

Jerome
