Ah, the old limit order to buy low. You kind of set it hoping you can just touch the bottom. Then if you get it, and the stock is a little lower, you start to wonder - why did I buy this? She bounced back up to close at 44, I believe, from a low of 42 and change.
I gulped and tried to get some Nov. 45 calls at 3 7/8. By the time my order was registered, b/a had gone to 4/4 1/4, and finished at 4 1/8-4 3/8, so I missed the day's bottom. I was also hustling to complete the spread electronically by selling the Nov. 50s, but they were running up as well, and I couldn't sell them before I owned the 45s or they'd be naked. Maybe I'll do a bull spread with the broker rather than electronically next time...
Hope this is a billkirn bottom finally. Any thoughts, O Jedi Master? Beware the dark sides (greed, fear) of the force.
