"How can it be when it is a non answer?" Of course 'none of the above' is AN ANSWER... (it's just one that neither of the two other bozos on the ballot want the voters to pick! :-) By my way of thinking: ANYTIME you give the voters more choice, MORE power to decide who will 'represent them'... then you are INCREASING and deepening the Democracy. (And remember: if 'none of the above' wins 50% plus of a vote --- that just means that a new, snap election gets called, and hopefully new candidates come forward to run in it... because the old two bozos are hopefully SHAMED ENOUGH by losing to 'none of the above', that they withdraw from the election in favor of different candidates.) Either that... or they are actually prevented from reappearing on the ballot (I've seen it both ways....) Kinda like when Ashcroft actually LOST his reelection bit for Governor TO A GUY WHO HAD BEEN DEAD FOR SEVERAL MONTHS! :-) (THAT outta be a pretty good indicator that the public really, really would rather see someone else... anyone else holding that job. <g>)
