DJEhuty - Bob Kirtley may or may not be a wild-eyed dreamer. If he is, then Jim Dines and Bob Moriarty are in the same category. Bob has indicated that he would not rule out $500 on a spike and Dines has said that there is practically no limit to where uranium could go on a spike.

While I tend to discount truly nonsensical forecasts, markets can do strange things at times and exceed even the most wildly optimistic forecasts under certain conditions. A few years ago, people who talked about $100/lb uranium were also regarded (by some) as complete fools with heads full of mush. Those fools have gotten a lot smarter over the intervening period, I guess.

At any rate, I don't think we need a super-spike in the uranium price to make these stocks attractive. All we have to do is sustain the current level and most of the near-term producers should be able to do quite well. Nevertheless, my guess is that the U spot price will continue to grind higher.

I visit MySpace on occasion to see what the unwashed masses are saying about uranium. The answer is...almost nothing at all. It is very difficult to find any uranium-related posts on the investment-related message boards there. And you'll have a newfound appreciation for the quality of these boards after visiting! One post I saw yesterday indicated that $8,500/ounce is the "next stop" for gold. ROTFLMAO! Now THERE is a wild-eyed dreamer, for sure!

Cheers,
tsl
