I agree with the characterization of the destructive politics. I would contend that the Bush administration has been key in creating such an atmosphere. Probably the result of concentration of power, the resulting hubris has poisoned an already disfunctional apparatus. Our country will be rescued by the moderates, if indeed we are salvageable...
