I've read that in the past and you could be right. I have a cousin who books cruises for a living. They go several times a year and he tells me they go miles and miles out of their intended route to avoid bad weather when they have passengers aboard, so you probably have it right.

That must be an "E" ride at Disneyland in a sub out in those seas! You sub guys would be spoiled just floating along in that smooth deep water, not knowing what a blip of a wave felt like. LOL
