Yes you are right. The President of Iran has said so repeatedly. This nit wit has very little credibility in Iran. (or elsewhere) He was elected by the smallest of margins, and may not survive much longer.

He was a nobody till George Bush named him part of the axis of evil in his Presidential address. The other two members of that club, were N. Korea and Syria.

Now he's a problem and we can thank George for that.
