12 hour days are long days but the reward is great. hopefully she is not rotating shifts. If she does it should be not more than once a quarter. It really takes that long for the body to adjust.

back in early 70's drivers worked 10 hour shifts, four days on three days off. they loved it. it was a great productivity increase for the company too as it went with dot allowed driving hours.

in 80's we started office flex hours,, and one exception work from home if the position didn't require phone work with customers etc. Although we did set up phone emergency back up for the homes if customer service couldn't get in because of snow bell atlantic was working forward incoming calls etc to early identified homes. I left at during that phase. we were well ahead of the industry in implementing new ideas.
