That is a great strategy for poker, but it smacks of a lack of the companies duty to protect the shareholders from financial harm. It would be nothing short of irresponsible for QCOM to not reveal that they have an "insurance policy" to protect the company and it's shareholders from financial harm if the worst was to happen.

This is business, not a poker game, you can't play games with the market place, without regard for the consequential harm that it may cause the shareholders.
