Liar. Bush was a wash-out as a trainee pilot. AWOLBUSH.com Check out the actual documents. If he ever flew solo at all without a trainer holding the stick it was just a few times. After 1971 he never flew again. He did not finish his Guard requirements. He was let out two years early to go to Harvard Business School.

Carter may not have commanded a sub, but he served on one as an officer with tremendous responsibilities at the height of the Cold War and could have gone on to be a commander, or even an Admiral. The Navy just named a nuclear sub after Carter.
