My mother has had perfect teeth nearly all her life, up until about 5 years ago when she needed her first filling. She's never had a tooth pulled. But this round is different. Her teeth are still too good to pull, but starting to deteriorate rather rapidly. The other day she got two very large fillings and was prepped for two crowns which will go in next time, plus two more small fillings on the same day. I saw the pictures as the dentist wanted me to know he wasn't just drilling into her check book. Teeth looked terrible and no doubt needed repairs. She has a terrible time recovering from those visits, she's so frail.
