Atin:
The Von Conference (Voice on the Net) was last weeks best place for CTI and IP professionals to gather and show their "CTI stuff", as it were. Indeed, Natural MicroSystems did just that with a H.323 compliant IP Gateway product called "Fusion".

I can't say that I view this as a threat to Dialogic as much as I see it as a means for solidarity to the H.323 specification. Dialogic knows H.323 too. They were also awarded for a few offerings of their own at the VON Conference.

Jay, I wanted to thank you for a past posting mentioning Robert, Paul and myself.

In regard to VoIP, Dialogic was among big IT companies then when it was formed in '96. Though Voice Over Internet Protocol might lead one to believe it is a protocol, it is not. VoIP was formed as an alliance for ALL of the IT industry by large companies like Compaq, Microsoft and US Robotics. Quite a compliment to Dialogic then to be in the company of such big market makers. (no pun intended). My compliments as Dialogic has remained key to leading VoIP as well as watching others like Nortel, Lucent and even NMSS join in the interim. Note: Natural MicroSystems was hesitant at first then by reason of association to their biggest foe... and, at first it appeared as though LU and NT could not be bothered.

VoIP has evolved into the consortium of IT and mostly CTI companies...A common ground for entry or continuance to follow the new and current specifications and in the industry today with H.323 laying just below the masthead. SCSA and MVIP are in there somewhere too. I suppose we all know that story.

IMO: Dialogic is a long way from being in any kind of trouble in terms of competing as the CTI industry is widening daily. With Internet Protocol(IP)now included in the integration of the Computer Telephony API together with all of the networking/telco API's of the world....
I suppose I could go on and on...I won't.

Also, the comeback from 16 four month ago, speaks for itself.

Best wishes to all.
