Workers facing the ax are fighting against management. The only way you can get rid of workers in Germnay is to close down the company. Siemens paid Euro 300mn for Benq to buy its mobile phone division and the Tawinese company then closed it down. Siemens is enagaging with the Nokia Joint Venture because uit is the only way to get rid of the numnber of employees. The Unions have member in the supervisory board and have a say in hiring and firing people. So Siemens tryind to create a pliable wayo union as countervailing power. Thus the imbroglio.
