Bush's people doubled energy prices. The proof is that the day after Bush-cheney were first nomninated, Bush's #1 closest ally Enron in league with other energy tycoons who were all pals with Cheney, struck against the west coast of the USA. They didn't just double prices, in some cases like electricity and natural gas they quadrupled them, and it was all sheer manipulation, including fake shortages, phantom energy sales, closing down plants at the peak time of need, every trick in the book. This practice stopped when Jeffords switched parties temporarily giving Democrats subpoena powers. But once the GOP got power back the gouging started again, doubling from CLinton levels 3 or 4 times including right now. Bill O'Reilly has it right on this issue. There is no longer any competition in the energy sector. They are a monopoly and they are all colluding and price-fixing. ANything they can get away they will try and they know with Bush-Cheney in power no one will stop them.
