I'm not saying that the plan outlined would be workable as presented, but if it is something that most of the region agrees to, it COULD (could-could-could) be a start for some sort of regional peace plan. To my knowledge, it would be the first time that all the Arab nations actually agreed on the start of such a plan.

And, I take the anti-American rhetoric for just that -- rhetoric. They have to say things like that to even be heard by the more vitriolic countries in attendence. Politics is still politics.

More to the point, what would a "Pan Arab" alliance look like?
