If our governments were truly serious would they not make the use of hybrids mandatory in say 5 years ? They do make a big difference in short trip driving... How about eliminating long haul trucking ? Now there's a feedback loop.. How about complete logging bans on old growth forests.... restrict it to tree farming... There is a lot of merit in many things we should do to slow our contribution to the warming trend which would reduce noxious air pollution, conserve resources etc.. ... mostly I expect to see a lot of political hay made...
