Tinka plans diamond drill program at Colquipucro

2007-03-28 16:05 ET - News Release

Mr. Andrew Carter reports

TINKA PREPARES FOR DRILLING AT COLQUIPUCRO

Tinka Resources Ltd.'s preparations for drilling on its 100-per-cent-owned 7,000-hectare Colquipucro project in west-central Peru is well advanced. An initial diamond drill program consisting of 11 holes totalling approximately 2,000 metres will be undertaken on the project. Eight holes will target the known mineralization on surface and within the adit (see news releases in Stockwatch dated Nov. 6, 2006, and Nov. 21, 2006, and Jan. 11, 2007). In addition, three holes will target chargeable anomalies identified by the induced polarization survey completed in February, 2007.

The main access road to the saddle of Colquipucro hill will be completed this week, and access trails and drill platform construction is continuing. Drill contractors have visited the property and the company is evaluating the submitted contracts. Once a contractor is selected, it is anticipated that drilling will start in April.

The company's qualified person, John Nebocat (PEng), has reviewed and approved the contents of this news release.
