If there is no war/terror underway all things are possible. From the creation of the jewish state, all the israelis were looking to do was to be a friendly neighbor to the arab states. If the arab/israeli border becomes like US/Canada all the problems to reach settlement go away. Right of return becomes symbolic, settlements with biblical explanations go away or at least traded for other land to balance things. Religious control of holy sites aint no big deal. E. Jerusalem is something the israeli really dont want to give back but would if it were the type of real peace outlined above. Real problem is that israel is being asked to give all this up on a promise by folks who have been unable to control the crazies. If it were your family what would you do?
