I am in favor of law-abiding citizens carrying weapons in places legal to do so. I am in favor of applying laws limiting firearms where they are on the books...(thus, I am in favor the technical charge against Webb's aide). However, since intent is a key element in most crimes, if the Aide did not know the gun was in the bag, I am sure something can, and should, be worked out on the charge. I think the new Texas law is fine. What's so hard to understand?
