I suspect that is the point. It, he, they propose the most ludicrous indefensible positions possible, knowing the response will expose that, with the goal of returning rational sounding anti-right rhetoric. The idea being to develop a data base of rhetorical responses to deal with any eventuality. It's very indecent and senseless but it doesn't seem like extremist care about that.
