Seems to me that the revolving door between WS and high-level SEC/Treasury politicos guarantees status quo until the pressure for change becomes too intense. And that point is well into the future (if it ever actually occurs) due to the huge pile of grey $$ being made by prime lenders and hedgies. Follow the money.
