The information that I have learned all ready from those of you who have posted here has been fantastic. Thank you one and all. I thought that I would offer some insights into some form of migraines.. My sister came to live with me after her divorce and she was a chronic migraine sufferer... She had had allergy tests, tried different neurologists and generally was mess spending 2 to 3 days a week in bed... Fortunately Imitrex was discovered a few years ago and that helped her to have a better life but prior to that and a continual sleuthing to find out the causes of these darn things revealed the following: Golf courses were poison to her. The spray of insecticides, pesticides produced a migraine...So no more golf..and anyone who lives near or on a golf course... be aware that allergies can come in different forms from the inert substances they put down. One of my friends had terrible sinus until she moved away. Christmas trees in NC are sprayed all the time. We cannot live near a Christmas tree farm and at Christmas you might want to hose down your tree before taking all the chemicals into the house. Pumping gas. If the fumes backflow she was ill. Toxic fumes,. Perfumes were verboten after she opened a Vanity Fair magazine and got an instant M... One can request a copy with no perfumes. She did stained glass and the lead fumes from the soldering produced dreadful migraines but not immediately. She has to wear the kind of mask that is worn in situations where chemicals such as anthrax searched out. All forms of toxic fumes in household cleaners. Tarnex was one that put her in bed for a day with the heaves.. Mold and mildew are terrible.. Big migraine. I used to use Rid a Bug around the house.. She was sick a lot and it took awhile to discover that all insecticides and things like when the grass here is sprayed necessitates her getting in the car and not breathing the fumes. Since discovering the causes of migraines for her we have been able to eliminate a lot of them and she has weeks without any migraines. When she gets one the sleuthing goes on. I always have believed that there is a cause for every ailment and that we have to be continually vigilant. Having just returned from lunch with a cousin who is into health issues big time we discussed a lot of remedies for various health problems.. She mentioned Chelation and I am going to look into it as something to have instead of open heart surgery. Wharf Rat posted here only once and said stay away from Doctors. I do believe that a working community of posters sharing as we have here can be of help to a lot of us and we might be able to take his advise. I am going to get Lemon Grass and start drinking lemon grass tea thanks to a post here this morning. Suma
