Migraines mostly effect women but I had a couple when I got my first "real" job in the late 80's, and was under a lot of stress, I have broken quite a few things including a fracture of my hip but the pain of migraines is very intense and prolonged and incapacitating.

It was a long time ago but I still practice "self-massage" (no not that kind) on my neck and upper shoulders and so far it has worked well. I also get a real massage once in a while.
